Welcome to my blog, my little corner of the interwebs. 

I was born in Albuquerque, NM - but have been in Dallas almost all my life, plus or minus about 5 years, while I went to school in Waco, TX at Baylor University. #SICEM.

I married the most wonderful, caring, and patient man after dating for 5 years. We are now going on our 5th year of wedded bliss. It really can be this easy, when it's with the right person. Sappy, definitely, but that's real talk.

Our journey into parenthood wasn't exactly planned (that's another story for another post), but it's been the most fulfilling role we've played and I wouldn't change a single moment. Well, maybe a few extra scary hormonal days, but bad days are so few and far between in this blessed mama's life.

We are so excited to become a family of 4 this December. I'll be surrounded by boys, but that's ok. I'm still the queen of the house :)

I love a good cup of coffee, have a major weakness for pastries, and can watch beauty guru videos on Youtube all day if my son let me. I spend way to much money on makeup when I usually just wipe it all off anyway, and window shop online til midnight most nights when I should be catching up on my much needed sleep. I have the same group of girlfriends from high school and we'll all probably take care of our grandbabes together one day while drinking gin and tonics. 

I've had this blog for awhile, and before C, I shared it with just a few friends who wanted to keep in touch and know what was going on in my life. What I love about being a mom is the instant feeling of relatability and connection with other moms. It's like an exclusive club! I love reading and seeing pictures of other peoples' journey throught motherhood and knowing I'm not alone on those days when I need those extra endorphines and an espresso to power me through to bedtime. 

I'm just the mama next door, making it up as we go along. :)
